Frequently asked questions
Everything about turning links into shorts — sources, credits, your account and the occasional hiccup.
Getting started
What is video-llm?
video-llm turns a link into a finished vertical short. Paste up to five YouTube, TikTok or Instagram URLs and the pipeline writes a voice-over, picks the B-roll, burns in subtitles and renders a ready-to-post clip.
Do I need an account?
Creating a short needs a free account so your generations and credits stay tied to you. You can browse the landing page without one.
Do I need any editing skills?
No. You paste links — and optionally a prompt and a target length — and the pipeline does all the editing.
Creating a short
What can I use as a source?
Public YouTube, TikTok and Instagram links — one to five per short. Blend several clips into one original short.
How long can the short be?
Pick a target of 15, 30 or 60 seconds. The script and edit are paced to fit the length you choose.
Can I steer the result?
Add an optional prompt when you submit to nudge the tone or angle of the voice-over.
Can I watch it build?
Yes — every stage (transcribe, script, voice, B-roll, render) streams live on the progress page. No blind spinner.
What do I get at the end?
A 1080×1920 vertical MP4 with AI voice-over and burned-in word-level subtitles, ready to download.
Credits & billing
How much does it cost?
video-llm is free during beta — you get a monthly allowance of credits.
What is a credit?
Each short you start uses one credit. Your balance shows live in the header and updates the moment it changes.
What happens if a generation fails?
The credit is refunded automatically — you only spend credits on shorts that finish.
When do credits renew?
Your allowance refreshes once a month.
Your account & data
Who can see my shorts?
Only you. Your generations, source links and downloads are private to your account.
How do I change my email or password?
From Account settings, where you can also manage your sign-in methods.
What happens if I delete my account?
Your videos and source data are removed and the account is anonymized. It can't be undone.
Troubleshooting
A link won't import — why?
The source may be private, region-locked or on an unsupported platform. Check it opens publicly, then try again.
My short failed — what now?
Failed generations refund the credit automatically. You can resubmit the same links straight away.
